Outpatient Therapists
  LOCATION:

Van Nuys Campus, Culver City Campus, The Help Group Child and Family Center
 

  JOB DESCRIPTION:
     

We have several bilingual Spanish and non-bilingual Outpatient Therapist positions available! Must be registered with the BBS!

• Provide individual and/or family treatment to children who are at risk of abuse and/or neglect and children with severe emotional difficulties.
• Provide group treatment, parent support groups, parenting education classes as assigned.
• Provide outreach and referral services on an as needed basis (e.g. shelters, food banks).
• Provide 24-hour crisis intervention care to assigned client caseload.
• Participate in Outpatient staff meetings, monthly Clinical Department meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain client information in a confidential manner.
• Maintain client charts in a responsible manner and meet all paperwork deadlines requirements.
• Maintain productivity rate at required Agency standards.
• Comply with the Agency guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethical standards.
• Arrange work schedule of required hours to the benefit of the Outpatient Center and clients with the approval of the Director of Outpatient Center.



  QUALIFICATIONS: 


MFT, MSW, Ph.D., or Psy.D. California License or license eligibe.

One year clinical experience with children and families.

Some experience providing home based counseling service.

Experience with DMH paperwork preferred.

Minimum one year experience working with multiple-issue families (e.g. unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness).

Strong interest in providing home based, culturally relevant counseling services.

Commitment to providing community based services to multi-cultural population.

Bilingual Spanish required!

Minimum two evening hours required to provide treatment services.

Those with DMH paperwork experience will be given an additional $2,500 in salary!
